WHEN THE STORY IS YOU: WELLNESS IN MEDIA October 16, 2025
Black journalists are carrying unprecedented stress from reporting on racial injustice and community trauma to navigating underrepresentation, job insecurity, and the relentless pace of the news cycle. The emotional toll of this work cannot be ignored. This session offers a space for truth-telling, reflection, and restoration. Together, we’ll explore how to protect your peace while honoring your purpose, and how to make mental health a priority in a profession that rarely slows down. The goal is to leave our session with tangible tools for resilience, language to set healthy boundaries, and strategies to reclaim moments of pause and sustain beyond the burn out.
